Avery and Lacey are student workers who arrived at SEMO with no prior farm experience and now handle daily farm responsibilities with confidence. Alongside them is Collin, the farm manager and a SEMO graduate who understands the student journey firsthand. Together, they show how hands on experience and strong mentorship prepare students for success in the field.

Missouri is ranked in the top nationwide for cattle production and SEMO is located in the most agriculturally diverse region in the state when it comes to crops. This is why we are proud to have our own university-owned farm. We give students the opportunity to immerse themselves into agribusiness and plant and animal science.

Charles Hutson Greenhouse

Our greenhouse complex includes four thousand square feet of glass growing space and one of Missouri’s largest Corpse Flower collections. As a Proven Winners certified facility, it gives students hands on experience with commercial horticulture production and industry standards.
